Position Title: Business Development Manager
Position Description:
Occam Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Sales Professional responsible for the full Sales Lifecycle--lead generation, client relationship building, deal closure- -of new business in the federal sector. The qualified candidate will be an individual contributor and must have a proven track record of government services sales success meeting and/or exceeding assigned annual sales quota within the Electronics/Logistics/Network/IT realm. This position will report to the Vice President of Business Development and be responsiblele for creating Business Development strategy and identifying, qualifying, pursuing large opportunities. The qualified candidate will also work with capture and proposal teams to develop winning proposals. Additionally the candidate will possess the ability to interface with all levels of geographically separated corporate management and support teams. This position will need to bring existing customer relationships while developing and maintaining strong business relationships with key decision makers in the federal sector.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Senior level Business Development strategy creation and execution skills that lead to the winning of new opportunities within the federal sector
- Current high-level customer contacts and the ability to leverage these contacts and relationships into qualified business opportunities
- Ability to effectively apply Solution Selling techniques to better manage the customer's buying process
- Demonstrated success in being part of a winning a large >$100M DoD award
- Ability to manage a capture campaigns across a long 18-24 month sales cycle
- Ability to maintain customer relationships with senior Government officials
- Minimum of 7 years of experience leading a Business Development/Capture team for winning new contracts
- Minimum of 10 years of high-technology solutions development and marketing experience for both defense and commercial solutions
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Be willing to travel up to 25%
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior military experience
- Bachelor's Degree
- Active Secret Clearance
