Occam Solutions and CSC Win the Department of Defense 2010 Nunn-Perry Award

McLean, Va. (March 10, 2010)
– Occam Solutions, Inc. and CSC (NYSE: CSC) were awarded the Department of Defense’s (DoD) 2010 Nunn-Perry award in recognition of their outstanding accomplishments as a DoD mentor–protégé team. The award was presented at the 14th Annual Department of Defense Mentor–Protégé Conference, sponsored by the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Office of Small Business Programs. The award recognizes the superior performance of participants in the program from October 1, 2008 to September 30, 2009, and honors the mentor–protégé teams that have excelled in the areas of quality technical assistance, return on investment and protégé development.

“We are honored and humbled by this award. It has truly been a team effort from both companies and we are looking forward to continuing this relationship beyond the mentor-protégé program,” said Daniel Chun, president, Occam Solutions, Inc. “We are grateful for the support we have received from both the DoD and Army Office of Small Business Programs and look forward to winning this award one day as a mentor.”

The Mentor-Protégé program assists small businesses (protégés) to compete more successfully for prime contracts and subcontracts through partnerships with large companies (mentors) under individual, project-based agreements. CSC has a legacy of commitment to contracting with small and small-disadvantaged businesses.

“CSC values the foundation that small-disadvantaged businesses of diverse backgrounds provide to our economy, and we remain committed to helping in their development,” said Mike Barclay, program manager for CSC’s Army Mentor–Protégé program. “We are proud that CSC’s work with Occam Solutions has been acknowledged as a successful example of mentorship in our industry.”
